The management and affairs of ADI vests with the National Executive Council ( NEC ) also referred as Governing body, subject to general control of the General Body of the members.

The Governing Body shall consist of not less than 9 and not more than 15 members elected from amongst the Professional, Affiliate, Corporate, Education Members. The term of office of each Council shall be for 2 years.

Present adhoc council is set up during the formative years of ADI and has a maximum term not exceed 24 months with the mandate to organize elections as per the rules and regulations of ADI within 12 months of tenure and its successful completion within 18 months of its tenure.
